W. C. FIELDS "NEVER GIVE A SUCKER AN EVEN BREAK" ORIGINAL MOVIE "WINDOW CARD" POSTER
- 1941 "A Universal Picture". 14"x22". Color litho on cardboard.
Original "window card" style movie poster with exceptional illustrative and photo images. Theatre imprint is in designated blank top area, but has faded to the degree of appearing very faint.
Great color photos of co-stars GLORIA JEAN, LEON ERROL, FRANKLIN PANGBORN and sexy starlet SUSAN MILLER. This was W.C. FIELDS last major film and produced one year after THE BANK DICK.
On this poster, the original story is attributed to OTIS CRIBLECOBLIS (who is W.C. Fields, himself).
Condition is considered GOOD to FAIR - poster had been folded in half and now has several horizontal creases in the middle. Plus, poster had also been folded vertically (full-length of sign from top to bottom) along right edge of graphics (NOT on graphics and is approx. 5/8" in from right edge). All corners have soft dog-earring, creases and rounding. Overall, poster has scattered minor to moderate surface/edge wear. Colors are still bright and appealing (see photo).
Despite obvious creasing, the window card makes an impressive frameable display for the discriminating W. C. FIELDS and/or CLASSIC MOVIE MEMORABILIA enthusiast. On a condition code scale of 1 to 10, the above listed item(s) rated (7-6).
