    . Clarence Linden Crabbe II (1908 – 1983), commonly known by his stage name Buster Crabbe, was an American competitive swimmer and movie actor. He won the 1932 Olympic gold medal for 400-meter freestyle swimming event before breaking into acting. He starred in a number of popular
    Tarzan
    and
    Western
    films in the 1930s and 1940s. He also played the title role in the serials
    Flash Gordon
    and
    Buck Rogers
    . In these six Crabbe stars as Billy the Kid in two and Billy Carson the other four. The Billy the Kid movies are Billy the Kid’s Round-up (1941) and Fugitive of the Plains (1943). He stars as Carson in: The Drifter (1944), Rustler’s Hideout (1945), Ghosts of Hidden Valley (1946) and Gentlemen with Guns (1946). 4 are 9 ¼” x 13 1/2'”, 1 is 8 ¼” x 12” and the last is 7” x 13”. Thin pulpy stock paper. Some light edge chipping on a couple of these. Sold as a lot of six only.
