Description

An original and rare one-sheet movie poster for 1944's "Going My Way", the
American musical comedy drama film directed by Leo McCarey and starring Bing Crosby and Barry Fitzgerald. The film is about a new young priest taking over a parish from an established old veteran. Crosby sings five songs with other songs performed onscreen by Metropolitan Opera's star mezzo-soprano Rise Stevens.  "Going My Way" was followed the next year with a sequel, "The Bells of St.Mary's."
"Going My Way" was the highest-grossing picture of 1944 and was nominated for ten Academy Awards, winning seven, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor for Bing Crosby and Best Supporting Actor for Barry Fitzgerald. Its success helped to make movie exhibitors choose Crosby as the biggest box-office draw of the year, a record he would hold for the remainder of the 1940s.
One-sheet is folded as issued and measures approximately 27 inches wide by approximately 41 inches long.

oster still displays bright color and a clean overall appearance, as the photos show, especially for a 78 year old poster.
With linen-backing and proper restoration this poster would look excellent and present as VERY FINE+. I
