    HIGH QUALITY
Koh-I-Noor soft pastel pencils of the Gioconda Soft Pastels 8820 line are a traditional and very popular product of the company Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth. Its color range is similar to the range of round soft pastels titled Toison D’Or 8500.
The key components of the cakes are very pure micro-pulverized natural substances on a base of calcium carbonate. This is either calcite mineral or chalk. Together with other additives and binding agents it creates a basic mixture, into which color pigments are carefully mixed. The pigments are purchased from renowned manufacturers all over the world. Their quality, light permanency and dosed concentration influence the final result as well as the durability of the artworks.
Thanks to the diameter of the lead, 3.8 mm, this product provides excellent artistic potential for all users. Noble wood, from which the pencil is made, allows simple sharpening and therefore it is possible to draw even very fine details with the pencils. They are therefore suitable for detailed drawing as a supplement to round soft pastels.
The basic characteristic of round soft pastels is simple distribution in sufficient quantity within the appropriate medium, which allows the consequent distribution of color dust particles. This technique provides unlimited possibilities of change of the richness and tone. With the amount of distribution we can achieve shading of the drawing more simply. After the finalization of the artwork, use of a preparation fixative is recommended (prevents consequent blurring).
No component used in production contains toxic or otherwise harmful substances and the final product is therefore suitable for all age categories.
