Released in March of 1946, this film featured a reprise of the role that Gale Sondergaard played in the seventh film in Universal's Sherlock Holmes movies starring Basil Rathbone, THE SPIDER WOMAN. The sequel SPIDER WOMAN STRIKES BACK, bears no relation to Holmes, but is spooky nonetheless. A young girl, played by Brenda Joyce, works as a caretaker for an older woman. But little does she know that the old woman and her sidekick, played by the inimitable Rondo Hatton, suck the blood from her to feed to a weird plant. Sound crazy enough for you? One of the weird B-pictures of the 1940s. But this poster transcends the campy movie. We think you'll agree. This poster was theater used and so the poster has a gently used appearance with some minor distresses. Six sheet posters were generally printed on four separate panels which were joined together to make one poster. This is a large poster, so be sure that you have enough room for it. There is little chance that a poster with this format would be anything other than authentic. But know that MovieArt will sell NO reproductions.
