  • Condition: This original movie poster insert has excellent color and definition exhibiting a clean appearance ready for display. There are pin holes. We have separation (1/8") at the 3 cross folds (where a vertical fold meets a horizontal fold). There is also some minor loss of color at the horizontal folds. There are 2 repaired 2" tears on the left side middle (right wrist of Leopard Woman) and left side middle/top (right shoulder of Leopard Woman), but the tears become less noticeable at relatively short distances. There is a small "patch" above the word "EYES" at the top center of the poster. There is some edge wear but overall the edges are in very fine condition. There is minor 1/4" separation on the right side middle edge. On the reverse there is taping that corresponds to the aforementioned repairs to the Leopard Woman's wrist and shoulder. The writing on the reverse does not bleed through to the poster's front. There is no soiling or smudges. Please review the photos carefully.

    This unrestored movie poster is Folded and measures 14" x 36".
    This is referred to as an
    "Insert" movie poster
    .  Almost all pre-1985 original movie posters are Folded.  This is not considered a  flaw or defect.
    The original movie poster is graded C6.5, Fine Plus.
    Original movie posters are graded as follows: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), etc.  It is difficult to find any pre-1985 original movie posters graded C10 (Mint).  This poster would be a good candidate for linen backing and restoration, which could alleviate many of the previously discussed flaws; particularly the several tears, the separation at the cross folds and the minor loss of color at the horizontal Folds. We believe that the cost of restoration would be out weighed by the increase in value to the original movie poster once restored/linen backed.
